Professor Lade Wosornu’s “The Unattached” book to be reviewed
As part of the celebration of the yearlong Accra World Book Capital (AWBC) started in April, the Ghana Association of Writers (GAW) will host a review of ‘The Unattached’ by Professor Lade Wosornu virtually tomorrow, June 14.
Tomorrow’s series forms part of “Through the Mind of a Playwright” literary series where books of renowned authors and playwrights are reviewed at this year’s Accra World Book Capital. .

Professor Lade Wosornu’s “The Unattached” was first published under the title “The Casebook of Dr OP Asem” but revised and published for the purpose of the Accra World Book Capital.
The event will also present an opportunity for a conversation with Prof. Lade Wosornu, one of Ghana’s literary legends and an astute retired surgeon, regarding the play.
Panelists for the session include Ama Serwaa Nerquaye-Tetteh (Sec.-General, Ghana Commission for UNESCO; Dr. Gheysika Agambila (Author/ former Vice President, GAW; Madam Kate Addo (Dir., Public Affairs of the Republic of Ghana); Lucille Hewlett Annan (Mrs) Lawyer/Ag. Commission Secretary of NCCE.
The others are Melody Esiawonam Boateng(National Professional Officer, Natural Sciences Sector, UNESCO Office in Accra), Adjoa Yenyi (programme Specialist, Adolescent&Youth(UNFPA) and Dr. Wale Okediran (Secretary General, Pan African Writers Association).
HE Abdourahamanne Diallo (Country Representative, UNESCO Ghana) will be the chairperson for the event and Dr Wale Okediran (Secretary General, Pan African Writers Association).

Accra World Book Capital AWBC, 2023 is a yearlong programme under the theme; 'Reading to connect minds for social transformation'.
