Roverman Productions’ second quarter play “Love on the Ropes” starts tonight

Roverman Productions is set to captivate theatre audiences once again with its latest production, "Love on the Ropes" from Friday, June 27 to July 6.

The play, which explores the complexities of marriage, secrets, and truth, promises to be a thrilling ride for theatre enthusiasts.

The story revolves around Don, a retired boxing champion turned politician, and his wife Aisha, a popular influencer and social media sensation.

 On their wedding anniversary, the couple's relationship is put to the test when Aisha decides to confront Don about a long-held secret that could potentially destroy their marriage.

 The situation becomes even more intense as Aisha chooses to air her podcast live, with thousands watching, turning what should be a celebration of love into a dramatic showdown.

"Love on the Ropes" will be staged at the National Theatre on Friday, June 27 to 29 and again from Friday, July 4 to 6.  The show times are Fridays (7:00pm), Saturdays (4 pm and 8 pm) and Sundays (1 pm, 4 pm, and 8 pm).

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Kenneth Nii Saki Sackey of Roverman Productions said Theatergoers should expect a gripping performance that explores the intricacies of relationships, power dynamics, and the consequences of keeping secrets. 

“With its unique blend of drama, suspense, and social commentary, "Love on the Ropes" is sure to leave audiences on the edge of their seats,” he said. 

Since 2008, renowned playwright Ebo Whyte and his Roverman Productions have been energising Ghana's theatre scene with quarterly productions.
