Just when theatre lovers thought they had recovered from Roverman Productions' first play of the year, I Do, I Don't, the renowned theatre company is back with another dose of laughter, suspense and drama.
This time, it is Love and Handcuffs, a stage comedy that promises to keep audiences glued to their seats as an ordinary household is thrown into extraordinary chaos.
It is scheduled to run from tomorrow, Friday, June 26 to 28 and an encore on July 3 to 5 at the National Theatre.
At the centre of the story is Dave, a man whose quiet and predictable life is suddenly disrupted by a mysterious visitor with an unusual request. What begins as a seemingly harmless encounter quickly spirals into a hasty confusion and intrigue.
Before long, the police are involved, danger finds its way into the house, and Dave's wife, Mabel, launches an interrogation mission of her own in a desperate bid to uncover the truth.
Then comes the unexpected twist: the thief falls in love.
As secrets unravel and tensions rise, Dave finds himself holding the final card in a game where everyone appears to have something to hide.
Combining humour, suspense and surprising plot twists, Love and Handcuffs promises lively performances and engaging storytelling that have become hallmarks of Roverman Productions.
The play follows the success of I Do, I Don't, the company's first production of 2026, and continues Roverman's tradition of delivering thought-provoking entertainment that resonates with audiences while keeping them thoroughly entertained.
