Ghanaian actress and social media influencer Efia Odo is making a passionate call to her colleague entertainers and celebrities not to be complacent but come out in their numbers in support of the ongoing protests to demand better living conditions amidst economic hardships.
Speaking up against what she perceives as inaction from her colleagues, Efia Odo stated, "I expect my colleagues to stop being cowards, I expect them to show up where and when it matters, not just on Twitter and not when you're home and comfortable in your air conditioners eating your fufu or whatever."

The actress highlighted the need for celebrities to move beyond mere social media activism and physically engage with the issues affecting the people they represent.
Efia Odo, known for her social activism also stressed the importance of solidarity with the people who support the entertainment industry.
"I need you guys to be out here on the streets in the heat showing the people that you care about them and support them the way they support your music, movies, and the things you guys do."
She held that celebrities should reciprocate the love and loyalty of their fans by actively participating in efforts to bring about positive change.
The actress further urged celebrities with significant platforms, to use their influence to amplify the voices of those struggling in the current economic climate. "Where it really matters is out here and that's where you should be to help make a change, positive one," she emphasised.
