Urban Gospel yet to get needed attention —KNeeded

FOR over five years, Urban Gospel artiste, KNeeded has been trying his best to break through the music industry but success is yet to smile on him.

And he attributes this to his choice of Gospel music genre as a major setback to his career since the style is not widely accepted in Ghana.

“Urban Gospel musicians such as Kingzkid, Preachers, KobbySalm, Psalm One, Regardless and Christ Image are amazing talents who should be big by now but unfortunately, they are not making big waves and it is all because the genre is not widely embraced,” he told Graphic Showbiz in a conversation.

“Sometimes, it is frustrating to continue putting in your best while things still do not go according to plan but I believe if I continue making good music, my efforts will soon pay off,” he added.

KNeeded is presently out with his latest single, Champagne released on Thursday, October 20.

Champagne is about his heartfelt appreciation to God for the many victories he has won.

According to him, if God gave him victory over his challenges, then people going through similar situations should have confidence He will see them through.

He mentioned Champagne’s message is relatable and he is so sure the song will go places because of the assuring and positive lyrics.

He is about embarking on a radio tour with Champagne because he believes the world should hear the message.

“I am beginning a radio tour soon to promote Champagne because the content is powerful and the world needs to hear it,” he said.
