YFM out with ‘The One’ reality show
Urban radio station YFM 107.9 is ready with its maiden reality show dubbed ‘The One’ which aims at discovering and grooming a ‘great presenter’.

Eight contestants who have great voices, charisma among others will be selected through auditions in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi by a panel of judges who are well vested in the radio field.
The contestants will be housed and each given a task each week until the ultimate winner is announced on December 4.
The entire reality show from the auditions to the finals will be shown on ETV Ghana.
Speaking at the launch of the reality show on Thursday, September 16 at the Lancaster University, East Legon, Mr. Eddie Blay, programmes manager at YFM said “ the show is not meant for only wannabe presenters but on-air radio presenters as well.
“We thought this through and although some people might think we are not fair to wannabe presenters competing with on-air radio presenters, we at YFM know what we want.
“ For all you know, a wannabe presenter with a little grooming can do much better than an on air presenter.
According to him, the ultimate winner will among others have a slot on YFM as a presenter and get the opportunity to emcee some of the biggest shows in Ghana.
