The story about the gay medical doctor accused of sodomising a 16-year-old senior high school student brings up the issue of sexual deviance, which is fast becoming a part of the Ghanaian society.

Normally, sex should be between a man and a woman. Some have argued that, it is for this reason that God created Adam and Eve and not Adam and Steve. A man and a woman are supposed to engage in vaginal sex in order to procreate and fill the world with human beings so that life can go on.
With the proliferation of pornographic materials on the Internet and in the mass media, people’s ideas about sex keep running very wild resulting in all kinds of bizarre sexual preferences.
Now, men are having anal sex with their female partners and insisting that once it is done with a woman it is fine. Whatever reasons one may give for doing that, the fact remains that the “back passage” was not designed to take in hard “sausages”. It is meant to facilitate the release of faecal matter from the body - that’s all!
The reality is that sex is undergoing a very rapid and weird revolution with the advent of the Internet and it will be foolhardiness on our part as Ghanaians to continue to pretend that “things are normal”.
We have to accept the reality and begin to educate ourselves on ways to avoid being caught up in the web of sexual explosion, with its attendant dangerous variants.
People are having sex with animals in Ghana. People are having sex with babies and children in Ghana. Men are sleeping with men in Ghana. Women are “tasting” women in Ghana! We should stop pretending that these things happen only in other countries, particularly those in the West.
Abnormal sexual practices bring about many health problems and the fact is that Ghana’s health infrastructure is weak and therefore cannot adequately handle the kinds of deadly diseases that crazy sex engenders.
The people engaging in these sexual abnormalities can be found in all segments of society, so the education on safe sex must target everybody and anybody.
Media reports indicate that Dr Sulley Ali-Gabass, a senior medical doctor at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Takoradi, had confessed to having sex with a 16-year-old boy through the “back door” and had attributed his conduct to nature while indeed claiming it was a mistake.
What was the mistake; practising homosexuality or doing it with someone who is legally a minor?
"I don't know what to do. With this sexual thing some of us are trying our best. It's like being born with it. That urge is there," he was reported to have admitted.
The victim, whose name has been withheld, has reportedly been infected with HIV, but Dr Ali-Gabass says he cannot be blamed for the HIV.
He says he is HIV negative and could possibly not be the source of the boy’s infection.
The medical doctor was said to have displayed some gay tendencies while at school and while the rumour was all over campus, none of those who peddled it had any evidence, except for young Ali-Gabass' admiration for his junior male friends whom he was overly protective of.
Homosexuality and lesbianism are rife in our boarding schools and we know it. But the question is: What are we doing to stop them?
Someone told me recently that all the boys who were seen as behaving like girls during his time in secondary school are all “full-blown” gays today.
If all of us engage in homosexual sex, who do the gays expect to bear more children, who will grow up for them to “grab and chop?”
The craziest bit about the sexual rigmarole is the issue of paedophilia (sexual attraction to, or activity with children). Why would anybody find a baby or child sexually attractive?
All those engaging in all manner of strange sexual acts are psychologically troubled and that is a health issue. They must therefore seek professional help from clinical psychologists before it is too late.

The fact is that as human beings, gays and lesbians and all sexual deviants KNOW within their minds, spirits and souls that what they are practising is WRONG! They KNOW IT!
