ACT 651 prohibits the right to strike
The year 2017 is barely two months old. By convention, the new administration is safely within the 100 days honeymoon period afforded newly elected governments, despite understandably high public expectation.
However, the last thing any government in this situation needs is undue pressure, especially the threat of strikes on the labour front. The unfortunate reality, however, is that there is unfinished business that requires urgent attention in order to forestall the disruption of services, especially in sensitive areas of the economy.
