Akosa M/A Primary School gets support

The Chief Executive Officer of the Kessben Group of Companies, Mr Kwabena Kesse, has presented Creative Arts textbooks and notebooks worth GH¢ 3,000 to pupils of the Akosa M/A Primary School, his alma mater.

The excited pupils, in the presence of some parents, put up an outstanding cultural performance at the ceremony held in the school at Suntreso, Kumasi to welcome the delegation from Kessben Group.

The Head of Marketing of Multi Credit Savings & Loans Limited (MCSL), a subsidiary of the Kessben Group of Companies, Mrs Jane Marshall Amissah, who presented the items, urged the pupils to devote more time to their books rather than on issues which had no positive bearing on their education.

Mrs Marshall Amissah reiterated the key role education played in the socio-economic development of every country, and called on parents and guardians to invest in their children.

The Headmistress of Akosa M/A Primary School, Madam Theresa Baako, who received the books on behalf of the school, commended Mr Kesse for rendering such a timely assistance to the school.

According to her, the school was to take delivery of some Creative Arts textbooks, after it was certified by the Ghana Education Service, but could not meet the deadline because of parents’ inability to pay for their wards.

She said due to the deadline and considering its relevance in the academic calendar of the pupils, the school authorities decided to appeal to Mr Kesse to come to the aid of the school.

Madam Baako said Mr Kesse had regularly supported the school in diverse ways.

She, therefore, called on all past students and well-wishers to assist pupils of the school.
