Flocare Beauty unveils refurbished shop

At a sod-cutting ceremony on August 16, 2024, Flocare Beauty unveiled its newly refurbished shop at Sakumono Estate, Accra. The event, held in front of the shop, attracted loyal customers and supporters’ eager to see the upgraded space.

Addressing the attendees, the Founder, Miss Christabel Ofori, explained that the refurbishment was driven by the need for a larger space to include a training room, a product sampling section, and to fix roofing and other structural issues.

She added that with this refurbishment, customers can now sample and purchase their wide range of products, which includes; face scrubs, hair oils, shampoos, conditioners, face creams, and baby products, all made with key ingredients like baobab oil and shea butter. "Our ingredients are primarily sourced from Ghana and Ivory Coast," she said.

The training area, Miss Ofori continued, offers lessons on making various skin and hair care products, including bar soaps, liquid soaps, detergents, shampoos, conditioners, lip balms, fabric softeners, pomades, and more.

 While there is a fee for the training, as part of Flocare Beauty's corporate social responsibility, they provide free training to less privileged community members.

Miss Ofori also noted the inspiration behind starting her business, saying that her son's struggle with skin dryness was a key motivator. Shea butter had been a significant help, which encouraged her to create her own products and eventually grow the business.

One of the clients at the event, Ama Boateng, expressed her excitement about the refurbished shop. "I've been using Flocare Beauty products for years, and the quality is good.

With the new space, I hope to see even more innovative products and maybe even learn how to make some myself in the training sessions," she said.
