I pledge to serve with integrity, humility and unwavering dedication — Mahama
President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to serve Ghanaians with integrity, humility and unwavering dedication.
He gave the assurance while addressing the nation at the 69th Independence Day Celebration of Ghana at the Jubilee House in Accra on Friday, March 6.
He emphasized that Ghana’s progress cannot depend solely on presidential leadership but requires the active participation of every citizen.
President Mahama urged Ghanaians to contribute their best in whatever roles they occupy, stressing that national development depends on collective responsibility and excellence in service.
"As your president, I pledge to serve with integrity, humility, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of our people. But Ghana's progress cannot rely solely on my leadership. It will depend on every citizen doing their part."
"Wherever you are, whatever you do, do your part with excellence. Do it for Ghana, do it for Africa, and do it for the generations yet unborn. As I conclude, building prosperity-inspiring hope is not merely today's theme. It is our national mission. Today we celebrate how far we have come and when we leave here, tomorrow we must commit ourselves to how far we will go," he said.
The President mentioned that the theme of building prosperity and inspiring hope should not only guide the Independence Day celebration but also serve as a national mission.
As the country reflects on its achievements since independence, President Mahama encouraged citizens to remain committed to advancing Ghana’s development for future generations while promoting African unity.
