Accident on Cape Coast road; 2 dead, several injured

Two persons have been confirmed dead in an accident on the Cape Coast-Takoradi road Thursday morning.

Twenty five others have also been injured and are currently on admission at the Effia Nkwanta Hospital in Takoradi and the Interberton Hospital in Cape Coast.
The Regional Manager for National Road Safety in Cape Coast, Stephen Anokye confirmed the news saying he received a call from a traveller at 5 am about the incident.
According to him, the accident involved an ambulance which was travelling from Accra to Takoradi and a sprinter bus heading to Accra from Takoradi.
According to eyewitnesses, the sprinter bus collided with the ambulance at Komenda Safwi, a town along the road and skidded into a nearby bush.
