Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has reportedly been shot.
She is said to be receiving medical treatment after gunmen allegedly opened fire on her vehicle in Accra on Sunday.
A source within Adwoa Safo’s team pleading anonymity has told Graphic Online it occurred near her brother’s house.
The source claimed Adwoa Safo was present in the area when armed men allegedly opened fire hitting her vehicle.
Photos of Adwoa Safo on a bed with blood in the face have been shared on social media.
A photo also showing bullet holes on the vehicle she was reportedly in has also been shared on social media.
The attackers reportedly discharged many rounds of ammunition, with one of the bullets said to have grazed her neck.
Police is yet to comment on the incident.
