BNI releases Citi FM General Manager

The General Manager of Accra-based Citi FM, Mr Samuel Attah Mensah, has been released by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) after he was invited for questioning, the radio station has reported.

Mr Mensah was invited  in connection with a story published by Citifmonline.com Sunday, which alleged that a Ghanaian lady in possession of a diplomatic passport had been arrested at the Heathrow Airport for allegedly attempting to smuggle cocaine into the United Kingdom.

The story, however, turned out to be false, with the government stressing that the suspect did not have a diplomatic passport.

The lady, Nayeli Ametefeh, was said to be traveling on an Austrian Passport ( P4187659).

According to Ministry of Communication, she also had a Ghanaian passport (GO364497).
