The theme for the anniversary is: “100 years of a united family, knowing, living, and sharing the goodness of God.’’ The celebrations will be climaxed on September 11, 2016 at Breman Essiam.

Speaking at the launch, Archbishop Nketsia thanked God for guiding the church on its journey so far. He urged members of the church to be humble, united, forgiving and love one another in order that the church may experience speedy development.

At a point in his three-day tour of the parish, the Archbishop confirmed 46 members and urged them to move out and spread the gospel in order to win more souls for Jesus Christ.

The Parish Priest of the  Breman Essiam Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rev. Father Thomas Egyir, commended Archbishop Nketsia for his tremendous support and commitment to the growth of the parish.

For his part, the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Chief Executive, Mr Peter Light Koomson, praised the church for establishing the first primary school in the town. He said that move led to the growth in education in the town and the creation of many scholars in the community.

Mr Koomson, who was the chairman for the occasion, donated GH¢500 in aid of the celebration.

The Omanhen of  Breman Essiam Traditional Area, Odeefuo Afankwa III, urged politicians and those who supported them not to do anything that would threaten the peace of the country as the nation goes to the polls later this year.

Odeefuo Afankwa and chiefs and elders of the town, including the paramount queenmother of the area, Nana Yaa Esiwaa II, also donated GH¢200 towards the success of the ceremony.
