Colin Essamuah goes home
Burial service for Colin Benjamin Panyin Essamuah, a columnist of the Daily Graphic, was held at the Bethany Methodist Church at Dzorwulu in Accra yesterday.
The church was filled to capacity with a spillover of mourners standing outside. The mourners included prominent members of the country’s political parties and other dignitaries.
The Graphic Communications Group Limited was represented by a delegation led by its Director News, Mrs Mavis Kitcher; the Editor of the Daily Graphic, Mr Kobby Asmah, and the former Features Editor and Editor of the Junior Graphic, Ms Doreen Hammond.

Colin Essamuah wrote 275 articles in a column titled Abura Epistle in the Daily Graphic for five years.
He was a historian who was well known for his candid opinion on a wide range of issues, especially politics.
He was survived by his wife, Mrs Audrey Amerley Essamuah; daughter, Guambie; twin brother, Kakra Essamuah, who is the Director of Communications of the National Democratic Congress, and other siblings.
