The equipment allows two or more locations to communicate by simultaneous two-way video and audio transmissions.

Handing over the equipment at a ceremony in Accra yesterday, the Regional Manager of Moneygram, Mrs Kemi Okusanya, said the rationale behind the donation was to empower the ministry to discharge its duties effectively.

According to her, since the ministry and Money Gram shared the same aspiration, which was to serve Ghanaians abroad, there was the need for the company to support the management to create a direct link with Ghanaians abroad.

Ministry grateful

Receiving the equipment on behalf of the ministry, the sector minister, Mrs Hanna Serwaa Tetteh, expressed appreciation to the management of Money Gram for the equipment, which according to her, would make it easier for the ministry and  Ghanaians abroad to interact effectively.

For his part, the Director of Diaspora Affairs in Ghana, Mr Philbert Johnson, stated that the new equipment was going to make it easier for the ministry and Ghanaians abroad to interact effectively.

‘’The enterprise that we seek to execute is to enhance Ghana’s integrity with Ghanaians abroad and people of African descent ‘’, he said.
