Mental health care is one of the biggest challenges confronting the Ghanaian health sector with hospitals still grappling with the overflow of patients.
Accra, Pantang, and Ankaful Psychiatric Hospitals are the only major facilities that provide mental health care but inadequate resources to deal with critical challenges like infrastructure, finance and medication remain a challenge.
