He said Accra as the capital of the country needed the maximum harmony, peace and stability for development.

Mr Ayeboafoh made the remarks when a delegation of elders, and the Mantse of Bubuashie Kpatsakorle, Nii Ashie Komorwuo, paid a courtesy call on the management of the GCGL to announce the celebration of their Homowo festival on Saturday, September 12, 2015.

The visit was also to familiarise themselves with activities of the company.

There are numerous long standing chieftaincy disputes within the Ga Traditional Council, including the Ga Royal Paramount Stool.

Hindered development

Due to the internal wrangling, Mr Ayeboafoh said it was difficult for outsiders to know the right traditional leaders to deal with, adding that such situations hindered development.

The Daily Graphic, he said for instance had had to deal with numerous rejoinders after publications on Ga chieftaincy issues.

He indicated that the doors of the company were open to everyone to share their opinions and views but the disputes needed to be resolved.

He congratulated the chief, elders and people of Bubuashie on their celebrations and urged them to live together in peace and harmony.

In his remarks, the Bubuashie Kpatsakorle Mantse, Nii Ashie Komorwuo II, urged the people of Bubuashie to remain peaceful and support their elders in their efforts to develop the area.

He commended the GCGL for its quality of work and contribution to national development.
