
Effiduase senior high commercial school calls on Chief of Defence Staff
A delegation from Effiduase Senior High Commercial School in Ashanti Region has paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) William Agyapong, at the General Headquarters of the Ghana Armed Forces in Accra.
The delegation included the Board Chairman, headmistress, staff, current students, PTA Chairman, alumni and former classmates of the CDS.
Commendation
The Headmistress of the school, Madam Olivia Owusu, congratulated Lt Gen Agyapong on his promotion and appointment to the highest office in the Ghana Armed Forces.

She said that the school was immensely proud of Lt Gen Agyapong's accomplishment and pledged their unwavering support for him, while wishing the CDS the best of luck during his tenure.
Madam Owusu also highlighted the school's commitment to fostering leadership and excellence among its students.
She cited Lt Gen Agyapong, the 1985 Head Prefect of the School, as a shining example.
Appreciation
Lt Gen Agyapong expressed appreciation to the team for their visit and recounted nostalgic moments with his former classmates.
He also acknowledged the pivotal role the school played in shaping his character, instilling in him the values of discipline, integrity and service, which he said had been instrumental in his military career.
Lt Gen Agyapong called for deepening of collaboration between old students and the school to promote civic responsibility and patriotism among students.
He advised the students to be disciplined, hardworking and respectful at all times, while taking their studies seriously to prepare them for their future endeavours.
