The bank also pledged to maintain the highest standards of customer service, ensuring their banking experience was always seamless and satisfactory. The Managing Director (MD) of FirstBank Ghana, Victor Asante, said the branch would act as an economic catalyst for the local communities around Kasoa.

He said it would provide financing options for small businesses, which were often considered the backbone of local economies.

Opportunities

"The refurbished Kasoa branch will provide opportunities for face-to-face service that the FirstBank is reputed for to both our customers and prospects with the various professionals stationed here, something that modern-day digital banking cannot deliver," Mr Asante said when he relaunched the branch last Thursday.

The branch would also support the bank's efforts to offer world-class banking services delivered in its gold standard of value and excellence with customers at the heart of the bank’s operation.

Businesses

"Over the last few years, we have seen a number of businesses established here to meet the growing needs of the fast-growing human population. Quite a number of the businesses here happen to be small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and we are here to assist them and all other customer segments," he said.

Mr Asante said the bank's enhanced facilities and services were designed to better meet the diverse needs of its clients, including those receiving foreign remittances.

Aside from its channels and other products, "our collections platform presents you, our valued clients and customers, with options to make payments for government services, school fees and others," he stated.

PAPSS

The Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS) offering, he said, was available to provide solutions to current and potential customers so that sending and receiving money to and from various parts of Africa was assured.

Mr Asante said FirstBank would create a banking environment that fostered growth, convenience and accessibility for all of its customers and prospects in Kasoa and its neighbouring communities.

He said the brand's promise to always deliver the ultimate gold standard of value and excellence remained the same.

"It is a good time to demonstrate that we are here for you, and committed to you, our stakeholders. This is how we differentiate our brand and that is what we mean when we say, You First," Mr Asante added.

Refurbishment

The FirstBank MD said with the refurbishment of the Kasoa branch, every individual, institution or corporation stood to benefit from the bank's exciting products, services and experience.

"We commit to continue supporting the financial aspirations of individuals and businesses alike with tailor-made products and services, advisory services and our channels," he said.

A customer, who has saved with the bank since it began in Kasoa in 1996, Betty Sam-Brew, commended the staff of the branch for their good customer service relations, among other things.
