Ghana Post calls on Gbese Mantse
The management of Ghana Post has paid a courtesy call on Nii Ayi Bonte II, Paramount Chief of the Gbese Traditional Council, at his palace in Accra.
The visit aimed to strengthen ties between Ghana Post and the traditional council, landlords of the company, as well as explore potential areas of cooperation.
During last Thursday’s visit, the management presented drinks and an undisclosed amount of money to support this year's 'Odadaw' ceremony, which marks the lifting of the ban on drumming and noise-making.
Nii Gbese expressed appreciation for the gesture, noting that this was the first time a Ghana Post management team had recognised the Gbese Traditional Council as the landlord.
He said this was an opportunity for partnership and collaboration, highlighting the council's investment drive and upcoming events, including a visit to the Netherlands for an investment forum and diaspora Homowo Celebrations in September this year.
‘’You must join me in attending the investment forum to market your company internationally’’, the Gbese Mantse said.
The Managing Director of Ghana Post, Rita Shara, stressed the importance of building a working relationship with the traditional council, acknowledging the spiritual significance of respecting the landowners.
The former Member of Parliament for the Odododiodoo Constituency, Edwin Nii Lante Vandepuye, who accompanied the delegation, said Ghana Post was where he undertook his national service, and he had been a friend of the company since then.
He expressed the hope that the company would commit itself to establishing stronger ties with the Gbese Traditional Council.
