Office of President endorses AfriCanada Expo 2025
The Office of the President through the Diaspora Affairs Office, has endorsed the AfriCanada Expo 2025 scheduled to take place from October 17–19, 2025.
Dubbed Made in Africa Expo Canada, the event would be held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The landmark endorsement positions Ghana at the centre of Africa–Canada trade and investment relations, reinforcing the country’s role as a hub for diaspora engagement, innovation, and continental leadership.
Under the theme “Unlocking Potential: The Africa–Canada Partnership for Prosperity,” the AfriCanada Expo 2025 will provide Ghanaian businesses, entrepreneurs, and government agencies with direct access to Canadian trade and investment networks.
It would also provide "opportunities to showcase Ghana’s products, services, and innovations to global investors"
A statement issued in Accra said the event would also offer strategic linkages through B2B, B2G, and G2G platforms and a chance to promote Ghana’s rich culture and heritage on an international stage
Endorsement
Commenting on the endorsement, the Founder and Executive Director of Made in Africa Expo Canada, Christiana Ranicia Erickson, said
“This recognition by the Presidency demonstrates Ghana’s leadership in diaspora-driven development. AfriCanada Expo 2025 will not only strengthen Africa–Canada relations but also create opportunities for Ghanaian businesses, policymakers, and investors to build global partnerships.”
With the endorsement, the statement said the AfriCanada Expo 2025 extends an official invitation to Ministry of Trade & Industry – to lead Ghana’s trade delegation and promote “Made in Ghana” products.
It also invited the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture – to showcase Ghana’s culture and creative industries and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture – to highlight agribusiness opportunities as well as the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) – to attract foreign investment into Ghana.

It also implored the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) – to connect exporters with Canadian markets and private sector associations such as Association of Ghana Industries, the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and regional chambers of commerce.
"The expo will also feature the prestigious gala and excellence awards night, where Ghanaian excellence in business, innovation, and cultural leadership will be celebrated before an international audience.
"The official participation of the Office of the President of Ghana signals to Ghanaian investors, small and medium enterprises, and public institutions that this is a platform to actively engage, explore opportunities, and expand into Canadian and North American markets," it said.
The AfriCanada Expo 2025 – Made in Africa Expo Canada – is a non-profit initiative designed to deepen Africa–Canada relations through trade, investment, education, innovation, and cultural exchange.
