Goals scorers Asamoah Gyan and Christian Atsu, who scored Ghana's first two goals, picked the Orange Fair Play and Orange Man of the Match awards for their outstanding efforts on the field.

Not left out of the glory was a Ghanaian female fan, Charlotte Ekpeh, who was picked out of the 13,334 fans at the stadium as the Orange Fan of the Match, with a reward of a crystal trophy and the unique opportunity to present compatriot Atsu with his award just before the post match press conference at the stadium last night.

Atsu, on receiving his award, dedicated it to the hardwork of his teammates, crediting them with the ‘total performance that put our victory beyond doubt.’

It was the third successive Orange Man of the Match award won by a Ghanaian player after midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu claimed both awards in the group matches against DR Congo and Mali.

It was also a never-to-be-forgotten day for 35-year-old Charlotte, a member of the Die Hard Supporters Union whose body painting and eye-catching outfit caught the attention of scouts responsible for selecting the best fan of the day.

A caterer at Maclean Pub at Ashaiman, near Tema, Charlotte becomes the second Ghanaian after Mustapha Richardson, also of Die Hard Supporters Union to be adjudged the Fan of the Match.

Mustapha won when Ghana played Mali in the second group match.
