The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has called for a lasting partnership between Ghana and India that will serve the interests of citizens in both nations for generations to come.

He said the two countries share a common dream, and it was time for Ghana and India to rise together, not apart, in pursuit of their development aspirations.

In his view, Ghana and India hold shared ambitions and a common future, with both countries committed to inclusive development.

Addressing the Parliament of Ghana today, Mr Modi reminded legislators that India holds Africa close to its heart.

“So let us build a partnership, not only for today but for generations to come.

“As Ghana continues to pursue the path of progress and prosperity, India shall walk with you, shoulder to shoulder on this road,” he assured.
