Graphic, others win most valuable brands awards
The Daily Graphic, the flagship newspaper of the Graphic Communications Group Limited ( GCGL), has been adjudged one of the three most valuable business brands of Corporate Ghana.

The Daily Graphic emerged the third Most Valuable Business Brand (2014) in the Corporate Category at the Fourth Brand Excellence Awards organised by Premier Brands Ghana at the Aviation Social Centre in Accra last Thursday night.
In addition, Mr Kenneth Ashigbey, the company’s Managing Director, was decorated with the Best Brand Custodian Award (2014) in the Individual Category.
Messrs Ashigbey and John Tagoe, the Strategy Manager of the GCGL, received the awards.
Other winners
Toyota Ghana Limited was declared the Most Valuable Business Brand, followed by the Melcom Group of Companies.
All the three top brands met the criteria set by the organisers, notably product/brand acceptability, excellence and satisfaction derived by customers/consumers.
In a speech, Mr Ashigbey commended the organisers and dedicated the two awards to Team Graphic for working so hard to bestow on the company such laurels.
The latest award confirms the GCGL’s commitment to excellence, leadership, technology and innovation that make the company a symbol and model for others in the sector.

Earlier this year, the GCGL won four awards, including an international one: the QUDAL-Quality meDAL Award. The rest are Greatest Brand in 2014, Newspaper of the Year and the CIMG Silver Jubilee Celebrated Brand – Daily Graphic.
Also, the company last year won four reputable awards in three months (August-October 2013), one of which was an international award.
They were the International Star Award for Quality (Gold Category), Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Media Organisation of the Year (2012), Best Organisation in Rewards Management Practice (2013) and the Most Outstanding Media Brand (Democratic Governance for the Daily Graphic)
