Lizakye Foundation donates to Accra Psychiatry Hospital

The Lizakye Foundation, a philanthropic youth organisation, presented items worth several cedis to the Children’s ward of the Accra Psychiatry Hospital

The items which included adult diapers, gloves and detergents was to mark the group’s annual ‘February Love Visit’ project.

 

Presenting the items, the Executive Director of the foundation, Ms Elizabeth Asabea Kyere, said the greatest task here on earth was to love our neighbours and to support others when they were in need, hence the decision of the foundation to come to the aid of the hospital. 

Faith, hope and love, she said, are the three key elements that make life meaningful, therefore the need for everyone to cultivate them to make the world a better place for all. 

She commended the management, staff and workers of the Accra Psychiatry Hospital for their dedication and selfless devotion to serve and care for the patients.

 The staff on duty, Ms Benedicta Nyarko, who received the items on behalf of the children commended the foundation for its support and kind gesture. 

Mr Frederick Donkor, a staff at the hospital, who took the team around advised the public on good mental health practices, stressing the need for healthy lifestyle as a contributing factor for good mental wellness.
