Man, 37, fatally stabbed by friend

Uwombornyi Bado, a 37-year-old man has been stabbed to death with a stick by a colleague, Alhassan Merasa.

The incident occurred at Zongo-Machire, a farming community near Chinderi, the District capital of Krachi Nchumuru of the Oti Region.

Mr Bafo was initially taken to a clinic in Chinderi and later referred to Kete-Krachi District Hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Sources disclosed to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the deceased and the suspect were close friends, though the cause of their disagreement remains unclear.

The Assembly member of Donwieso West Electoral Area, John Mpoebi Nteleye confirmed that the incident was reported to the police, leading to the suspect's arrest by officers at Chinderi Police Command.

The deceased’s body has been stored at the Krachi West District morgue as police continue their investigation.
