Ministry launches website on LAP 2
The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources has launched a website on Land Administration Project 2 in Accra. The sector minister, Alhaji Inusah Fuseni, launched the website and said communication lay at the heart of all human endeavour, including those related to land adding that, information was redefining cultures, breaking boundaries and creating new communities and markets.
According to him, advancement in technology, access to information and service delivery had become key components of good governance.
“The government will continue to increase access to information on its policies. The redevelopment of the website would, therefore, serve as one of the communication channels to help inform and educate the general public and all stakeholders about the land administration project,” he stated.
Alhaji Fuseni urged the managers and administrators of the facility to remain committed and dedicated to the smooth running of the project to ensure constant update of its content.
He commended the World Bank and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) for their continuous support for the project.
Professor Bruce Banoeng-Yakubo, the Chief Director of the Ministry of Land and Natural Resources, said the complex nature of land administration structures in the country demanded that the website covered all the activities identified during the design and implementation stages of the project.
He advised institutions, organisations and the public to visit the site regularly and also provide the needed feedback.
