The Public Affairs Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Freeman Tettey said statements had been taken from all the securitymen who were on duty on Saturday as well as the cleaners.

He the CCTV within the building would also be reviewed to see if the perpetrators were captured by it.

Narrating how the police got wind of the break-in, DSP Tettey said on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at about 9:30 a.m. a cleaner from the Pyramid house reported to the Nima police that some offices in the Pyramid House had been broken into

He said following the report, some police personnel were dispatched to the scene where they realised that three of the offices on the second floor of the building had been broken into by thieves.

DSP Tettey said the three offices had been messed up with documents and files scattered all around. He said further investigations revealed that one of the burgled offices, Blay and Associates  was that of Ms Gloria Akuffo, lead counsel of the NPP legal team.

According to DSP Tettey, the police are yet to establish if anything had been stolen from that office.

Meanwhile, information reaching the police indicate that one laptop was stolen from the offices of the Precious Minerals Resources Limited.

So far no arrests have been made.

Information gathered by graphic.com.gh indicated that the offices of Akuffo and Associates, was ransacked and the servers connecting the offices, badly damaged.

Some unknown persons on Saturday night broke into the offices of Gloria Akuffo, lead counsel of the NPP legal team that is piecing together evidence to challenge the outcome of the December 7 polls that saw the NDC’s John Mahama declared winner.

Freddie Blay, a colleague of Mrs Akuffo, told Joy News today it was unclear what the burglars were looking for.
