Interior Minister to open Government Accountability Series on July 14
The Presidency Communications Office will on Monday, 14 July 2025, launch a Government Accountability Series to provide regular mid-year briefings on the work of individual ministries.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, July 13, 2025, the Minister of Government Communications, Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, said the briefings would take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11am, offering “a tentative appraisal of the government’s performance over the last six months”.
He added that the Minister for the Interior, Mr Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, would inaugurate the series with the first sector report.
Past public communication initiatives have included the Minister’s Press Briefings coordinated by the Ministry of Information, the National Results Fair held at the Accra International Conference Centre in January 2020, and town-hall meetings organised across the regions between 2018 and 2021.
Those platforms allowed ministers to explain key policies such as the Free Senior High School programme and outline ongoing infrastructure projects.
The forthcoming series will be broadcast live, with each session dedicated to reviewing the performance of a single ministry over the previous half-year.
