With the facilities now back in shape, inmates of the prison can now study and engage in their pastimes comfortably.

The restoration works on the prison library and recreational centre, which cost GH¢32,000, followed a request made to the Osu Bethel Assembly of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church by the Prisons authority to assist the inmates to inprove their living conditions.

The James Camp Prison was established in 1948. The Deputy Director of the Prison, Ms Emma Dailys Sawyer Laryea, expressed her gratitude to the SDA Church for the assistance and called on other organisations to come to their aid.

The Country Director of ADRA Ghana and Head Pastor of the Osu Bethel SDA Church, Dr William Brown, urged the inmates to make good use of the facility.
