Ford trucks are robustly built and targeted to serve the long-term needs of construction, mining, general haulage, oil and  gas, and waste management sectors.

Among the range being introduced onto the Ghanaian market are trucks with specialised applications such as Tractor heads, Tippers, Garbage Compactors & Tank trucks.

With carrying capacities from 18 to 40 tons and power range from 260 hp to 430 hp, the options and application range is wide to serve various sectors of the economy.

For most owners of such heavy duty vehicles, servicing and original spare parts are a major headache.

With that in mind, the Commercial Manager of Rana Motors, Mr Ivaylo Kombakov, told the Daily Graphic that the company was equipped with huge capacity service centres, state-of-the-art machinery and gadgets to handle such needs.

“Rana Motors is well positioned to meet the expectations of Ford truck owners with genuine parts and efficient after sales services,” he said.

“Customers will also benefit from Ford’s great value for money, in low costs of ownership, two years warranty, extended service intervals and great resale value,” he added.

Trucks are vital links between production, business and consumers.

A huge proportion of cargo is moved around the globe using trucks in bulk distribution, sometimes over long distances (inland freight).

In Ghana, over 95 per cent of cargo is transported using the road network.

Road transport service is thus very vital, especially in our part of the world where rail systems and water transport are virtually non-existent. Ghana is no exception to this.

According to Mr Kombakov, as a hub in the sub-region serving other landlocked countries, "trucking" is not only the best option but unparalleled in flexibility and is a fairer means of distributing wealth and jobs between urban and rural areas.

“This critical step in the supply chain requires efficiency, reliability and safety. In other words, there is the need for well-tested and high performing trucks,” he added

Mr Kombakov said Rana Motors also offered a Field Workshop to clients for “On-the-spot service right where it is needed.”
