South Korea Foreign Affairs Minister to visit Ghana
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Korea, Mr Kang Kyung-wha, is expected to pay a two-day working visit to Ghana from July 12 to 13, 2019.
While in Ghana, she will pay a courtesy call on Ghana’s Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
The Korean Affairs Minister will hold bilateral discussions with Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Ms Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey (MP).
A press release issued by Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said this is the second time a Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea is visiting Ghana.
The release said first to visit Ghana was the then Foreign Minister and former United Nations Secretary-General in 2006 Mr Ban Ki-moon.
Ghana and Korea have had long-standing good relations and it is hoped that this visit will further enhance the cordial relations between the two countries, the release noted.
