The  product

Speaking at the launch of the software in Accra last week, the Chief Executive Officer of TEKSOL Limited, Mr Louis Amenyo Adanuty, said the programme could manage the portfolios of every client of a company, and stated that the software followed the requirements of the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the presentation of reports by fund managers.

He added that the software enabled fund managers to value funds under management, as well as ensure the processing of management fees in real time.

Mr Adanuty stated that the pension fund management module, which is part of the Fundplus, for instance, would enhance the management of pension funds.

Aids investments

He said the pensions fund management module could also be used to monitor and manage investments such as treasury bills, government and corporate bonds and fixed deposits.

According to Mr Adanuty, the software could also allow customers to regularly receive and assess their investments, adding that the programme had strong security features which protected the data of their clients.

Submission of reports

The Director General of the Security and Exchanges Commission (SEC), Mr Adu Antwi, advised fund managers to submit their reports to the commission on time.

He stated that the application of technology by fund managers in their work would ensure that they met their timelines.
