Terrorism: A threat to humanity
The world has now been put on high alert following the sporadic attacks on some countries by shrewd and unscrupulous men and women who have swore to destabilise the world by perpetuating heinous crimes against humanity.

Today apart from inter religious riots, conversions from religions, religious fanaticism and extremism which has metamorphosed into more radical and barbaric religious terrorism and sects, the human race is under serious threat; no one seems to be safe in this world.
A kind of historical antecedent will allude to the fact that the acts of terrorism have been in existence for millennia. However, the foundation of the world was shaken by the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Centre in 2001.
An Islamic Militant group al Qaeda at the behest of Osama Bin Laden claimed responsibility of what has gone into history as one of the dastardly acts against humanity ever since the world came into being.
This is because in that attack almost all the nations in the world was affected since the World Trade Centre housed nationals from all over the world.
From that moment on, the world leaders realised that terrorism has now become a global threat and therefore had to spend millions of dollars beefing up security.
Yet amidst this seemingly tight security alert, thousands of innocent souls have lost their lives to the annihilation called terrorism.
In recent past the emergence and insurgence of a brutally and marauding Islamic militant group ISIS has further exacerbated the problem.

ISIS has become a great threat to the whole world. This group which has taken the world by storm with its senseless bombings, suicide attacks and decapitation of its victims is well grounded in Syria, Iraq and other Middle East countries.
The minds of these terrorists are replete with venom which is evident from their brutal actions such as the beheading of innocent people, massacre etc.
What is more worrying is the massive recruitment of the youth to join this terrorist group. It is pertinent to state that terrorism feeds on bending the sentiments of the youth against the West and its interest by twisting the ideology and misinterpreting the tenets of Islam as a religion.
