Three women charged for assault
For assaulting another trader, three women, Gifty Oppong, Felicia Frimpong and Salomey, are before an Accra Magistrate Court.

The three, who are all traders, were charged with assault but they pleaded not guilty to the charge and were granted bail in the sum of ₵800.
Gifty, Felicia and Salomey were also asked to present a surety each by the court, presided over by Mr James Kojo Botah.
Presenting the facts of the case, Chief Inspector Dosoo said on March 7, 2016, Oppong insulted Akos, calling her a fouled-mouthed NDC supporter.
According to the prosecutor, Akos did not take it kindly and this resulted in a verbal exchange which drew Gifty, Felicia and Salomey closer to the scene.
Prosecutor Dosoo said in the process, the three women subjected Akos to severe beatings.
Akos sustained injuries on her neck as a result.
She reported the matter after she had been rescued by onlookers.
