The University of Ghana says it has initiated internal disciplinary processes following a public altercation between two of its senior faculty members, Professor Ransford Gyampo and Dr George Domfeh.
The incident occurred during a live panel discussion on TV3’s programme, The Key Points, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, and was captured in a widely circulated video.
In a statement issued on November 21, management confirmed that it has invoked the University of Ghana Statutes (2024) and the Code of Conduct for Academic Senior Members (2011) to review the conduct of both academics.
The University emphasised its commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism, integrity, and decorum among all staff.
The statement further noted that the University expects all members of its community to maintain these values in both public and private engagements.
Management reassured the public of its dedication to preserving the institution’s dignity and sustaining confidence in its academic and ethical standards.
