President John Dramani Mahama, has arrived in Cairo, Egypt, to participate in the grand opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), scheduled for November 1, 2025.
The historic ceremony is being held under the patronage of the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and has drawn a gathering of world leaders, monarchs, and other high-ranking dignitaries from across the globe.
President Mahama’s presence at this significant global cultural event is seen as a strong affirmation of Africa’s growing voice and active participation in international cultural diplomacy, reinforcing ties between Ghana and Egypt.
