The 71st New Year School & Conference is underway at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana (UG), Legon.
The three-day event, which ends on January 16 is themed: “Attaining Ghana Beyond Aid: Challenges and prospects”.

In her opening remarks, the Acting Chairperson of the University Council, University of Ghana said she was confident that the New Year School would once again come out with positions that will influence public policy.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to open the School.
Other speakers include the former Chairman of the University Council of the University of Ghana, Dr Ishmael Yamson and UG Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu.
