‘Women of virtue’ donate to Nsawam Female Prison

Lady Rev Mrs Perpetual Ampomah-Boateng ( second right)  leader of the Women Ministry of the Global Peace Christian Centre presenting items to Mrs Sophia Osei-Bonsu, Chief Supt of Prisons, at the Nsawam Female Prison in the Eastern Region.

Known as the ‘Women of Virtue’, the Ministry donated items such as a lawn mower, bags of rice, toiletries, detergents, books, magazines, and bags of gari.

Lady Ampomah-Boateng noted that it was the responsibility of society to cater for the need of  the vulnerable and the socially handicapped in society 

Chief Supt Osei-Bonsu on her part identified stigmatisation as one of the major problems which still haunted most ex-convicts.
