NPP donates to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital’s Children's Ward
The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Central Region has donated to the Children's Ward of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Fetu Afahye festival.
Led by the NPP's Deputy General Secretary, Dr. Antoinette Tsiboe-Darko, and Central Regional Women's Organizer, Ms. Charlotte Adwoa Antwi, the party presented a variety of essential items worth GH₵12,000. The donation included toiletries, biscuits, drinks, toys, and reading materials, aimed at bringing joy to the children during the festive season.

The NPP Parliamentary candidate for Cape Coast North, Mr. Horace Ekow Ewusie, and the constituency's Women's Organizer, Eunice Aba Sackey, were also part of the team.
Presenting the donation, Dr. Tsiboe-Darko highlighted the party’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, especially children. “As part of this year's Afahye celebration, we wanted to share some joy with the children, in line with the NPP’s values of love and giving,” she said.
Beyond the donation, Mr. Horace Ekow Ewusie settled over GH₵4,000 in medical bills for three children who had been unable to leave the hospital due to unpaid expenses. The children, who had been receiving treatment for up to a month, were discharged after Mr. Ewusie's intervention.
The Chief Nursing Officer at the Paediatric Unit, Afia Attakorah, expressed her gratitude for the timely support.
“This donation has brought immense relief to the families, and we are thankful for the NPP’s continued generosity,” she said. The hospital hopes the partnership will continue to benefit children in need.
