Addo Kufuor rallies support for Akufo-Addo 2016
A former Minister of Defence, Dr Kwame Addo Kufuor is rallying support for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party in the 2016 election.

According to Addo Kufuor, Nana Addo represents the NPP’s best chance of snatching the presidency from the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Nana Akufo-Addo who has been defeated twice as a flagbearer for the NPP is yet to declare his intention to run again but many in his party have been rallying him to lead the party for the third time.
Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, Richard Anane and Alan Kyerematen are said to be nursing ambitions to vie for the flagbearership race in the NPP.
However, Dr. Addo Kufuor, who served in Kufuor's administration says the leadership and political maturity shown by Nana Akufo-Addo after the Supreme Court dismissed a petition challenging the outcome of the 2012 election had endeared him to many Ghanaians and therefore makes him the NPP’s best bet.
He said “the party will do itself [a lot of] good if it endorses a Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia combination for 2016”
Dr. Addo Kufuor who is a member of the party’s Disciplinary Committee spoke to the radio station, Nhyira FM in Kumasi.
He called on all party sympathizers to use established structures to address their grievance instead of rushing to the media to create unnecessary anxiety among grass root supporters.
