He bemoaned the increasing corruption in the country and also called on the youth to lead the way by rejecting fraud and be a generation of men and women with integrity to change the ills of society.

Mr Mahama made the call at the annual Integrity Conference of the United Assemblies of God Youth Ministry ,which came off in Accra last Sunday.

He called on the youth to fight corruption vigorously in the church and promote the culture of integrity, adding that such tenets, if well upheld, would benefit society at large.

“I call upon you, the youth,  to lead the fight against corruption as good Christians would do and promote the culture of integrity everywhere you found yourself, ” he stated.

According to him, if anything good was  to come upon society, it would emanate from the church.

He entreated Christians to demand accountability from their leaders, which he said, could be done if the church probed its accounts and ran a transparent account.

The occasion saw the exchange of ideas and interaction among the youth on solutions to tackling the high rate of corruption in the country.
