In an interview with Peace FM, Davis Opoku Ansah, the Executive Assistant to the General Secretary of the NPP,said Ghana’s democratic credentials was boosted in Seoul when Mr Manu, the sitting Chairman of the Democratic Union of Africa (DUA), was elected, among many contestants, to the position of Vice Chairman of IDU.

“…Peter Mac Manu was elected as the Vice Chairman of the IDU. Already, he serves as the Chairman for the Democratic Union of Africa (DUA). So he was elected at the Party Leaders Meeting (PLM) in Korea,” he said.

The NPP delegation was led by Nana Akufo-Addo, who, according to Mr Ansah, is well-regarded around the world as an inspiring leader who can help elevate the standard of living of the people of Ghana.

“..Nana Akufo-Addo delivered a speech which centered on strengthening freedom and democracy in Africa, not only Ghana. He talked about the Supreme Court ruling and how it was helping shape the democracy of our country. He also talked about new technologies that could help eliminate the age old problem of fraud in the electoral system in many parts of the world.
