Ga South MCE dismisses allegations

The Ga South Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Jerry Akwei Thompson, has dismissed allegations that the municipal assembly is coercing residents to supply cement for the Amanfro Police Station project.

He explained that the request was first made by the Amanfro Landowners Association to members of the assembly and some non-governmental organisations to support them to fast-track the project to enable the police to be posted to the area to stop armed robbery attacks on the residents.

First batch

Presenting 100 bags of cement valued GH¢3,000 to Amanfrom Landowners Association last Wednesday, Mr Thompson urged landowners to not coerce residents to supply cement.

He appealed to them to contribute voluntarily to the noble cause of fighting evildoers.

The police service, he disclosed, had also donated another 100 bags of cement for the speedy completion of the two storey permanent police station at Amanfro in the Ga South Municipality
