Paul Ansah confident of winning Asuogyaman NPP primary
A New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for the Asuogyaman Constituency in the Eastern Region, Mr Paul Ansah Asare has assured the people of the constituency that he was sure of winning the party’s primary on Saturday due to his track record of achievements and support.
He said he had done so much for the area and that there would be no controversy regarding his victory to enable him prepare for the 2020 general election which he was also sure to win.
Rationale
Stating his rationale for wanting to contest as MP for Asuogyaman in the next general election, Mr Ansah, who is a former Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GHPA) and now Technical Adviser to the Ministry of Transport, said as a Member of Parliament (MP), he would have a lot of influence to help get access to resources for the development of the district which was his primary objective after serving in the public service for 26 years.

“I now want to focus my attention on helping my own people in the Asuogyaman Constituency to uplift their standard of living and to help promote good governance through the Parliament of Ghana,” Mr Ansah stressed.
He was of the view that education is the key to success in life and he would, therefore, continue to collaborate with the education directorate in the district to address most of the challenges confronting education in the area.
Questions
Mr Ansah was answering questions from students of the Adjena Senior High School when he donated books on various subjects to seven senior high schools last Thursday.
The donation of the books was made possible with support from the Rotary Club of Tema and the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA).
The presentation of the books to the schools was in fulfillment of his vision to have two graduates in each family in Asuogyaman by the next 10 years (2029) which he termed, ‘’Agenda one family, two graduates 2029”.
He said he was committed to improving education in the district and appealed to the students, teachers, as well as parents support him to achieve the desired results in education in the district.

Call for support
He appealed to students who were aware of his support not only in education but other areas to ask their relations who were delegates to vote for him during the primary to give them good governance in Asuogyaman.
A student at the Akwamuman Senior School, Jennifer Sosu said Mr Ansah deserved to win the upcoming primary because of his generosity.
“You have done many things for schools in Asuogyaman that everybody who is a delegate should not think of any other person than you, Mr Ansah”, the student assured him.
She assured that the books were going to help them in the library as reference materials because her school in particular lacked such important books.
