Welcoming Dr Bawumia on behalf of the La Traditional Council during a courtesy call as part of his tour of the La Dadekotopon Constituency, Nii Adjei Koofeh IV, La Shikitele, acknowledged that after 32 years of democracy in the Fourth Republic, challenges still remain. He expressed hope that Dr Bawumia's policies will bring about "real change."

"We have challenges with our progress," Nii Adjei Koofeh IV said. "We know you have put together bold solutions. All that we will tell you is that these bold solutions should lead to real change."

He further remarked: "We are 32 years into the Fourth Republic, but the change that Ghanaians are yearning for has not yet arrived. So we hope you and your team will work hard to bring that change."

The La Shikitele acknowledged the hard work Dr Bawumia has been putting into his campaign across the country and advised him not to let this effort go to waste as President without ensuring genuine progress.

"You have laboured, touring the nation, putting in resources and time. There are times you and your team do not even sleep. If, after all the time spent travelling the country, you come to power and there is no change, then it amounts to nothing," he said.

"As we know you to be a man of your word, we hope you will truly work to bring change to Ghanaians, so that La will also have its fair share."

"We wish you well and hope you achieve your goals. We, the people of La, will pray for you and your team—that the elders will guide you through your campaign, that nothing untoward will happen to you, and that whatever you are seeking, by the end of the vote count, you shall have it."

In response, Dr Bawumia took time to explain a number of his policies to the traditional rulers. He outlined plans for improved development partnerships between his government and traditional leaders, business-friendly tax regimes, responsible and sustainable mining, mechanised agriculture, modern education, and a digitalised economy. He also emphasised his focus on youth empowerment through digital training, TVET, and entrepreneurial support.

Dr Bawumia has been campaigning in the Greater Accra Region as part of his latest campaign efforts.
