Make Ghanaians the centre stage of democratic governance — NDP

The National Democratic Party (NDP) has urged the government to do more to improve the national economy, in order to make Ghanaians the  centre stage of democratic governance.

The party is optimistic that the  government will create an enabling environment in 2015 to  offer Ghanaians another great opportunity to renew their hope in the economy.

Making the call in a New Year message, the party pointed out to the government and  Ghanaians that the new year should serve as "a perpetual reminder of the pillars of the constitutional democracy, namely social justice, probity and accountability, and decentralised participation in decision-making at all levels of national life”.

That would enable Ghanaians to  work hard for the peace, tranquillity, development and the  prosperity of the nation.

The statement, therefore, urged  Ghanaians to enter the new year in “very positive spirits, believing in themselves as the foundation and essence of good governance”.
