According to Accra-based Starr FM, the meeting follows concerns that the comments, allegedly made by former Finance Minister, Mr Yaw Osafo Marfo, will undermine the party’s electoral campaign in 2016.

The voice was heard telling some executives of the NPP  that it was unthinkable for Akans, who own majority of Ghana’s resources, to be ruled by other ethnic groups.

“…You have all the resources, but you have no say in the management of your resources and that is what is happening. Your development depends on the one who has no resources,” the voice said.

“You can’t say this openly,” the voice cautioned.

Mr Osafo Marfo has, however, denied passing those utterances, stressing that his voice had been mischievously doctored.
